Rasmussen Reports provides independent polling and national political news to the public. For this eZ Publish CMS website, CommonPlaces designed the underlying architecture in conjunction with another firm that supplied the website design. The site also featured a custom built calendar for site visitors to keep track of upcoming events. CommonPlaces also designed a unique workflow system that Rasmussen uses for publishing content on their site. When one contributor submits an article it was sent to the appropriate user(s) for approval before it appeared on the site. This system involves a detailed hierarchy of roles that assigns different permissions to different employees. All of this occurs behind the scenes, of course, while Rasmussen enjoys a robust, easy-to-use publishing system on their site.
